Summer is here. U2 is soon here. And with them – one of the most advanced audiovisual shows ever toured the planet. This “360 degree” tour makes me feel like a child again – eager to discover the full spectrum of life, in all colours, unknown shapes and energy levels. So I see you @ the concert – ok? Im in section “N”.
Using the inbuilt compass in modern cellphones, and GPS, a new reality is born? (ehhh nope, discussions about what reality is and how we define this – is a subject I rather discuss over a bottle of wine). However, the cellphone as a tool combined with compass and GPS, will have a huge impact on how we search information in the near future. Watch the demo movie, and then you sort of realize that “business is local” easily transforms to “business is in your hand”. When will we see dating applications to find singels in your nearby location based on this technology? Who want to be a millionare?

Are you dreaming of 1000 square metre of Volkswagen information? Yes! I cant wait to go and experience this amazing interactive extravaganza exhibition in Germany. 714 metal balls, loads of strings, an amazing idea and violoa! You get a weightless ever-changing animated BMW hanging in the air! ART+Com in Berlin has really impressed me…
At Apple’s recent WWDC developer conference, 20,000 of the most popular iPhone apps were showcased on a pulsating wall of 30 Cinema Displays. Whenever someone downloaded a particular app, its icon pulsed light outwards creating a mesmerising display.

20th anniversary of this fantastic recordlabel, and now a deluxe special-edition of music and art, titled Warp20 (Box Set) is soon to be released… Warp created the most fantastic soundscapes and imaginative worlds for me in my younger days. And now this amazing concept box with beautiful minimal design. Guess I will buy the t-shirt just as well… A product for lovers of digital life.
This is way cool! Razorfish has developed a really nice multi-touch application which we will most probably see in branded shops all over the world – soon.

David Ogilvy wrote in his book “Ogilvy on advertising” a funny story about Account executives in the advertising industry:
On an airplane not long ago, Ogilvy overheard the following conversation:
What business are you in?
Engineer. You?
Im an account executive in an ad agency.
You write the ads?
No. Copywriters do that.
That must be a fun job.
Its not easy. We do a lot of research.
You do the research?
No, we have research people for that.
Do you bring in the new clients?
Thats not my job.
Forgive but what is your job?
Marketing.
You do the marketing for your clients?
No, they do it themselves.
Are you in management?
No but I soon will be.
Do you feel lucky? I feel lucky. And I am just waiting to experience the future releases of Ninja games with shurikens, nunchakus and tonfa’s based on this technology. Whip it!
Will it soon be possible to use 3D glasses connected to the iPhone? Apple has already patented iGlasses – a system using “a micro-electro-mechanical (MEM)/Laser display architecture.” By using a MEM laser display, Apple hopes to avoid problems with existing head-mounted displays, namely the sensation of looking into a box and motion sickness that may be caused by limiting peripheral vision. Well, from “touch and sweep” your finger interaction to iGlasses. I want to try it out now please…
