“In what promises to be one of the most exciting and spectacular features of the upcoming ABBAWORLD exhibition, the audience will be able to sing and dance together with the Swedish supergroup ABBA on stage. With the high definition holographic video system Eyeliner, ABBA returns to the stage through a holographic illusion of the group for the visitor to interact with. Senior director of production Mats Daleskog of Touring Exhibitions, the company behind ABBAWORLD, says, ‘‘We were very impressed with the Eyeliner system when it was presented to us by Musion Systems, and we immediately knew that this was something we had to incorporate into ABBAWORLD. It’s an amazing, seemingly magical technology, and Musion Systems have really excelled themselves when it comes to this one.’’ Together with content provider Square Zero (SEE VIDEO HERE), Musion Systems has made it possible for the visitor to come closer to ABBA than ever before. The Musion Eyeliner uses a specially developed foil that reflects images from high definition video projectors, making it possible to produce virtual holographic images of variable sizes and incredible clarity, using industry standard software. The system can be seen at ABBAWORLD when the exhibition makes its long awaited debut in the heart of London for a limited run at the Museum Hall, Earls Court, on 27 January 2010. Reseller of same Eyeliner technology in Sweden is Turnkey.

“adidas Originals is launching the first Augmented Reality experience in footwear. The adidas Originals AR Game Pack is a set of 5 shoes, each printed with an AR code on the tongue. When you hold the code in front of your webcam, you’ll gain access to a virtual version of the adidas Originals Neighborhood. Each month between February and April, we’ll launch a new interactive game within the Neighborhood and your shoe will be the game controller. The experience launches on February 10th at http://www.adidas.com/originals/

10 red ballons have been hidden around the U.S. and you have to find them.  How long would it take you? Could you do it in 4 weeks , 6 months, a year?  MIT Media Lab’s Dr. Riley Crane took that challenge, which last month was presented by the Pentagon’s DARPA, and with his team, used social media to accomplish the task in just 8 hours and 52 minutes!

Sir Ken Robinson. A really really funny TED seminare with the english humor that I love so much. And it is true that the western school system destroys creativity rather than support the growth of it. We are often focused on the mind (planning, analyzing)  instead of just letting go, relaxing into the Now and letting things just Happen. From: Osho Online- Celebrating Life.

“Coca-Cola and Unilever are shifting their digital focus away from traditional campaign sites and towards community platforms, such as Facebook and YouTube, as social media begins to dictate their marketing activity in 2010.” Read more at: NewMediaAge.
Will more brands follow? Probably. They move to where the customer is. Jakob Nielsen wrote about this long time ago “Users spend most time on other sites” and talked about early websites like “roman camps” without any interactions with other websites. Coca Cola’s social media policy is only 3 pages (keep it simple!) – available at the ViralBlog.
