Once, there was static web sites. They became dynamic. Later, dynamic web sites became more and more social. And we are moving on – towards the integrated digital experience.

Augmented reality is one out of many new technologies that integrate digital information into our physical reality. Geobased location marketing another exciting technology. More and more campaigns from the leading global advertising agencies integrate online with physical, with great viral success and increased brand awareness.

One article that has stayed with me a lot lately, from Creativity Online, called “Are we post-digital yet”. A great read, which I recommend. Digital is moving beyond online, into our digital life. Another great read is from planner Helge Tennø, he writes about our “Digital Identity (read: “The third installment – From destination to integration“).

It is exciting times when we are integrating digital reality with physical reality.

These two articles I really want to share with you – for your summer reading and summer walks and thoughts!

Enjoy!

A Wuffie is “conceptual social Metric based on what others think of you”. From the blog: “The term “whuffie,” by the way, is a word coined by author Cory Doctorow in his book Down And Out In the Magic Kingdom. It refers to the measurement of respect or karma a person gains or looses in their lives. In Doctorow’s future, humans have implants in their brains that visually project their whuffie, which has replaced money as currency.”

You can download his science fiction novel at the site for free. Meanwhile – take care of your social carma!
