This weekend I watched “Minory Report” to see how the movie producers thought of new technology back in 2002. The movie is full of multi-touch, gestural input interaction, holograms etc. Technologies that today, seven years later, slowly is becoming a reality. Interesting to see: whatever we imagine, becomes reality.
Chief scientist for Oblong Industries, John Underkoffler, was one of the movie’s science and technology advisors to the film and based the design of those scenes directly on his earlier work at MIT. The G-Speak platform is already in use in a variety of Fortune 50 companies, government agencies and universities – Oblong Industries offer a SDK that runs on both Linux and Mac OS X. Dunlop Volleys were first introduced as a tennis shoe in 1939. And now this amazing campaign with loads of humor, and of course I love it totally! This high level om creativity and true understanding of how to use the web for maximizing brand building and sales, it’s just purepleasure to watch. This gets to through my creative mind straight to my heart – yes, it put’s a “smile in my mind” (do you know who said that?). Thanks to the use of humor, honesty, the dirt, and of course well thought use of different social channels, this is a brand I will support/buy. Enjoy, have laugh and share!

Play, get some vouchers, or win a car, get to know the new product and find your local dealer easily. It has huge potential. One digital campaign that really took my interest is from Brazil. For Fiat. The T-Racer Campaign combines real world events, ads in TV, flash take over banners and websites etc. And of course the result is huge – in number of visitors, TV viewers and brand awareness. Good one!
